My big fat Greek...Reunion.

We had a reunion today. Lots of cousins, uncles, nephews and nieces i never knew i had. It was a good day though and a PERFECT opportunity to take some amazing shots.

All in all i got over 400 :) The above three are just a few of my favourites :) Since when do three year olds and six year olds look like that!? Gah.

Ahhh love, love, love.

On another note, another week of school starts tomorrow....

Hmmm

A post a day is kinda difficult, but i'm still trying to keep up! Schools been all over the place at the moment and I'm just trying to find a spare second in the day.

Today's image is from a shoot with Rosie, ten minutes before sun down, out on my street. I snapped this one quickly and to my surprise it's actually my favourite.

So pretty.

Charlie

This is Charlie. He's two years old and he is my beloved Godson. To be truthful, i love him so, so dearly. He's so happy and cuddly and considerate and sweet, I know I am rambling but in truth, he really is divine.

This image was taken a few days ago when his family came over for a swim at our place. No editing was done to the image, and the expression was gained by a quick "hey Charlie, can you see the dinosaur in the camera lens, look!"

Such an angel.

He's such a charmer.

I'm loving this one post a day, because it actually gives me the inspiration to pick my camera up every single day. Love, love, love.

Today's shot featuring Mr. Man, giving me a menacing look when i put the camera in his direction.

Him: "Ughh why do you always have to take photos of me?!"

Me: "Because you're small and cute, and i looove you."

Him: "Okay. But only one or two."

{Of course i didn't just take one or two, i took 17 :)

Couldn't help myself.

Thought I'd chuck this in.

It's appropriate and fitting to my mood soo here we go:

Dedicated to the eternally gorgeous Kylie Jane Grills.

Forever my inspiration and the crazy to my craziness.

Not long now...

Where has the time gone. Seriously.

Next week it's time to go back to school...ugh. It's gone ridiculously fast...and I dont think i'm quite ready to face 6.30am wake up, lockers, classes, lunches, assignments.

Good thing it's my second to last year :)

Pictured above: Three of my five folders.

P.S I promise my next post will be a substantial image and not this quick image i took earlier today...

Alexander the great.

He's little, and his face is cute and photogenic.

Whenever i set out to process pictures I have taken, they almost always have him in it.

He's wise beyond his years, knows a lot about things in the world, is a charmer, and always has a story.

His name is Alexander.

My (camera loving) little brother.

PS. I promise next post will be of someone else, buuut I just couldn't resist these pictures :)

oops.

I skipped two days.

In my defence...I was staying at a friends house so i had no access to blogger.

Hopefully this beautiful image of my little brother makes up for it... :)

I heart Faces.

This weeks theme is "We are family."

This image was taken on Christmas day, and shows my grandfather and my older brother cooking for everyone before the rush of family came. My grandpa is Greek and is a very strong believer in showing the younger generation how to cook, and this photo displays that very clearly. What better way to show the essence of 'family' through a photograph of the older generation educating the younger generation on the tricks of the trade of Greek cookery :)

Home bound.

Is there an image any more exciting/calming/better than this?

Taken at the airport, a few minutes before half past six, just before boarding. Oh how i already
wish i could go back to that moment in time :(

And because, being behind the camera all the time, suddenly means there ends up being very little images of yourself, so i resort to many of these. This one was taken in the hotel lift, and excuse the blurriness, i obviously forgot to change the setting...

Excuse Mum's lit-up hair, and look at those sunset colours. Bliss.

One of the last ones I will share from the trip...for now. Taken in the hotel, mucking around while waiting for mum to arrive back from the room.

And now it's back to reality. Next week it's back to school.....

Jackie Boy

Another day, another post.

The image posted is of Jackie boy on Christmas day, bemused by the new floatation toy in the pool. Even though you can't see his face, you're able to see his incredibly long lashes. Jealous.

Today I'm loving:

-Bran Nue Dae; produced by a friend of ours, it's such a good movie. GO AND SEE IT :)

-Up in the Air; another good film we saw this week. Go see it, it makes you think

-Air conditioning; yeah 43 degrees is not fun. Thank god for air coN

Til I'm home...

Stay safe xx

Unwind

Image taken just a few days ago, in the midst of a 44 degree day.
Right now, I am sitting in the Qantas club awaiting my flight to board so that i can fly away from here. I can't wait. Just to get away for just a few days.
I'll continue with my 'one post a day' routine, it may just take some motivation :)
Have a beautiful weekend.

Nightmares

This photograph was taken on the 11th of January, just before 12am. I couldn't sleep. It was six months since ski trip that night, and that was all i could think of. I simply, could. not. sleep.

In the silence and serenity of night, i walked around the house for a while before picking up my camera and messing around, taking this photo while i did. It reminds me of my sleepless nights.

Lately I've been having nightmares. You know, not like those "ohh that was a pretty bad dream" but those 'wake up in the middle of it crying/shaking/scared ones.'

If anyone's got a cure for nightmares, let me know...

I'm not good when i don't sleep that much :)

Lovely Lu

Lovely Lucia.

I'm sorry but, this just has to be posted. Look at those blue eyes!

The only editing that was done to this photo was adjusting the exposure just a tad. Everything else is just as it was taken.

This girl is just so gorgeous and sooo photogenic, I'm a little jealous....of a three year old. Ha. Beauty full.

Lovely, lovely lulu.

Bits and pieces...

From Dad's house. The big 'ol pine needle tree, the french doors during sunset and then Alex and Sophie out in the backyard. All taken with my baby (my new Camera :) I'm loving it.

A photo a day?

Taken on Christmas day, one of the first shots i ever took :)

Ella, just before Christmas. Something about this shot gets me everytime..

Ahhh a photo a day, can it be done? Perhaps. If i don't get lazy.

Well, see. I got my new Canon and I'm thinking I should take full advantage of it sooo therefore I believe I'll try to do a post a day.

Today, I threw in two of my very favourites taken late last year, before the new year.

I heart Faces.

Stumbled upon this competition and thought I might give it a go :)

"Best Face Photo"

I am only fifteen years old, and only just getting my head around my new Canon SLR. On one of the first nights of January 2010, I took one of my best friends out under the sunshine, and we played around til i got this shot. I love it, so summery and pretty.
